Cytology Fixative Beaker:  Urine: catheter; Urine; Urine: midstream; Washings

Collection Instructions

Add equal parts of cytology fixative (50-75 ml optimal) to sample after collection. Label specimen container with patient name and date of birth

 

If collected in outpatient setting, collect the specimen in urine cup and transport to main laboratory refrigerated. Fixative will be added before being sent to Incyte.

Specimen is stable at room temperature with fixative for 24 hours or can be refrigerated for up to 3 days
